The Philippine island where the dreams could become true. Thousands of visitors are attracted to Palawan hopping to have an unforgettable vacations. Is consider one of the best travel spots in the Philippines. Palawan is well known for the breath taken landscapes and nature richness.
Palawan’s capital is Puerto Princesa. Within its territory there is a cave named Tabon, that inspired a legend about the arrival of the first settlers, who walked thru a bridge in the cave, now drawn by the sea. Explorers and tourists can sail to the entrance of the cave and swim deep in the darkness.
There are two ways to get to Palawan, whether by air or sea, both departing from Cebu or Manila. It is up to you. The experiences are extremely opposite and depend on the tastes of each person or fears.
When I think about Palawan I imagine myself living here after my retirement. Even though I prefer the cold weather I’m sure like the most of the seniors, I will prefer the beach instead.
The island’s sea is clear as glass and resembles the mirror of Heaven. But Palawan is so much more than sand and sea, also is home of the “Wild of Calauit Safari Park”, an incredible land where you can find endemic animals, some others from Africa, all together in this protected nature reserve.
Do not leave without visiting the Tubbataha Reef which is in the middle of the Sulu Sea and has been declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO. There you can see subterranean rivers in caverns that will amaze you.
For all of this and so much more, Palawan has been proclaimed “Sanctuary of hunting and wildlife”.
